Agnes A. Marshall, MA

Agnes A. Marshall proudly teaches students about Philippine-American Culture through a program based at Seton Hall University. As president and founder of the Philippine American Cultural School, Ms. Marshall helps fulfill research and development initiatives for the Philippine and Philippine-American cultures. She oversees the cultural education program, which she established in 1993 after recognizing the need for a Filipino-oriented organization at the reputable institution. In her capacity, Ms. Marshall works with students, educators and public speakers to spread knowledge and awareness of Philippine traditions, customs, language, trends and developments.

 

Ms. Marshall has spent three decades helping younger generations to learn their culture, and find their roots and connection. She graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Saint Augustine’s College in the Philippines. She also received a Master of Arts in Educational Psychology from New Jersey City University, and a Certification in Board of Director Leadership from Seton Hall University. Ms. Marshall acquired accreditation as a Certified Elementary Education Teacher from the Department of Education in the State of New Jersey, as well as a Certification in English as a Second Language. In addition, she is a Certified Principal, and she maintains a Certification in Supervision with the Department of Education in the State of New Jersey. Her wealth of experience, dedication to teaching and persistence has allowed her to become an award-winning educator; Ms. Marshall is a recipient of the Hudson County Teacher of the Year Award for 2006-2007, and she is one of Polytechnic State College of Antique’s Outstanding Alumni.
